The Plantillo device uses convolutional neural networks to detect up to 27 different crop diseases at early stages through image analysis, enabling preventive action before diseases spread and supporting more targeted treatment. Research also covers optimisation algorithms for water resource management in coastal agricultural areas, addressing challenges of water scarcity in those contexts.
