Abstract
From a theoretical point of view, the work of the Form Recognition and Artificial Intelligence Group has focused on the development of algorithms for inference of certain types of formal grammars from examples for automatic learning of structural models. One of our research areas focuses on the investigation of human-machine speech communication systems. In particular, we work on the development of speech recognition and understanding and spoken dialogue systems, multimedia and multimodal information access systems (speech, text, images) and on personalization and adaptation to the user, the context and the task.
