Intelligent planning systems for decision support

Abstract

Intelligent process management requires making the right decisions and reacting in a timely manner to complex situations in which a large number of contingencies occur and the automatic or semi-automatic construction of an action plan is necessary. To develop this type of IT solutions, the Reasoning in Planning and Scheduling (GRPS) group of GTI-IA offers: – Tools, products and expert support for the intelligent management of industrial processes that require the automatic or semi-automatic construction of an action plan. – Specialized knowledge for the development and application of intelligent Planning and Scheduling (P&S) techniques to real problems. – Experience in the development of technology based on recommendation, planning and scheduling techniques for intelligent decision support of industrial processes. – Expertise in the development of automatic P&S applications with temporal reasoning, temporal constraint management and resource management. – Expertise in the development of P&S technology applied to logistics and transportation problems, crisis management, design and execution of customized plans adapted to user preferences and robotics. The experience of the research team and the state-of-the-art technology offered make it possible to develop robust, reliable, flexible, adaptable, scalable and closer to the problem domain solutions, offering an “intelligent” work environment, which can act as an automatic computing system and as a decision support system with expert knowledge.
