At VRAIN, research in planning and reasoning addresses automated planning, scheduling, and optimisation, with applications in urban mobility simulation, business process management, and the analysis of social network data for urban intelligence.

 

Tools developed in this area include SimFleet, a platform for the simulation and evaluation of urban mobility models; GREAT Process Modeller, a reengineering environment with automatic transformations for business process optimisation; and UTool, a platform for the analysis of social network data applied to urban planning, public opinion research, and mobility management.
