Multilingual automatic transcription and subtitling of training videos
Abstract
TransLectures-UPV Platform (TLP) for the automatic transcription and automatic subtitling of training videos. The increasing use of digital audiovisual formats, especially educational videos, is making the transcription and automatic translation of videos one of the most demanded services in the industry. In addition, in the case of entities that produce a large amount of content, the management of large volumes of videos is a key aspect. The TransLectures-UPV Platform (TLP) is a set of open source software tools that enables the integration of automated and assisted transcription and translation technologies in audiovisual repositories. It provides support for the transcription and translation of the full content of MOOCs (multilingual video/audio subtitling + translation of text content). This platform can be used on-line on the portal https://politrans.upv.es/, through which the UPV offers any institution the possibility of subtitling their training videos in a rigorous, fast and low cost manner through a simple system. In the same time that the video runs the subtitles are obtained, which can be edited using the TLP Subtitle Editor, an advanced multimedia player that allows the post-editing of multilingual subtitles. Likewise, polyTrans offers an advanced web service to automate the tasks of large video repositories.
