Intelligent system for clinical decision support in precision medicine.
Understanding the human genome is a major scientific challenge, the achievement of which requires the application of mechanisms and technologies that allow effective and efficient data manipulation. The main objective of this project is the development of a software platform that applies explainable artificial intelligence (EAI) techniques based on conceptual models, providing intelligent analytical support and interaction mechanisms that facilitate decision making, in order to help researchers and clinical experts to make precision medicine a reality.
To achieve this goal, the project integrates the knowledge and efforts of clinical, sequencing and data science experts to facilitate intelligent solutions to the problems that characterize this domain (“genomic data chaos”). This will make it possible to extract from genomic information the prognostic and therapeutic implications required to turn precision medicine into an applied reality.
